IT Camp 2010: Hackers Are Not Bad As You Think



IT Camp 2010 with the theme of "Hackers are not bad as you think" it speaks about the world of hackers with material includes internet security, attacks on the network until the engineering and configuration of network security and wireless.

Activities that combines camping with this information technology world, invites participants who are mostly teenagers to learn the techniques of network security from the IT experts like Ruth Marya (Kluwek - Community Linux for Girls), Onno W. Purbo (ODC & Kermit), Donny BU (ICT Watch), M. Salahuddien (ID-SIRTII) and Adi Nugroho (Yogyafree).

Onno W. Purbo said that a hacker must be able to protect themselves from other hacker attacks. Meanwhile, Ruth Marya said that the attack could come from anywhere. "hacker attacks can come at any time and from anywhere. With the right system we can monitor every attack, "said Ruth.
Donny BU, said young people today need to be given information on how to surf safely. "It's not just hackers who must protect himself from other hacker attacks, but everyone needs to protect itself from hacker attacks, the way is to surf the safe, so that our personal information is not misused," said Donny. He also describes cases of misuse of identity in cyberspace that happened lately.

The enthusiasm of the participants IT Camp 2010 shows that teens are very interested in the protection and prevention of the act of hacking itself. Most of the hackers initiate action because he wanted to protect themselves from hacking attacks.
